Given that the current coronavirus does not allow you to come to our office presently, you may consider that now is the time to look at a more Functional Approach to your health.

It is often perceived that Chiropractors only treat neck and back pain. This is only a small part of Chiropractic care. It is important to evaluate patients with a thorough health history, a review of the body systems and an exam of the structural, neurologic and metabolic system that make up the individual. All of these factors, along with blood work, and other functional diagnostic tests such as food sensitivity tests, stool tests, etc. allow us to partner together to design an individual treatment program tailored specifically for you. This approach to healing will take the mystery out of your chronic condition and allow you to finally heal and stay well.

We are currently working with our patients and clients on Zoom Meeting for a Tele-Medicine approach. Some of our patients are already experiencing relief from muscle and joint pain, headaches, migraines, among other symptoms. How are they getting relief? By healing from the inside out. We can help support you in this manner as well.

Here is a brief explanation of a Functional Medicine Approach.

If you experience chronic conditions such as migraines or headaches, fibromyalgia, diabetes, obesity, IBS, Crohn’s disease, general digestive disturbances, thyroid issues, hormonal imbalances, peripheral neuropathy, etc, Functional Medicine helps to get to the root of your problem. Along with education about lifestyle change, there are natural alternatives and therapies that will help heal your chronic symptoms and condition.

As practicing Chiropractic Physician and Functional Medicine practitioners, we look at the whole person, not just a single symptom. We use Diagnostic Testing, Blood Work Analysis & Nutrition to help you find the root cause of your condition. We have seen patients suffer needlessly from numerous conditions. They are often given a quick fix in the form of prescription or over the counter medication. The medications prescribed are a Band-Aid of sorts. They do not address the underlying issues that brought on the condition in the first place. As a matter of fact they can even exacerbate them in the bigger overarching picture of your health.

Taking drugs or over the counter medications are symptom masking. They only give short-term comfort for the condition rather than addressing a more permanent solution. They can also create other down stream and upstream issues in your systemic body. In case one is dealing with addiction they can get some advice from on what needs to be done when it comes to prescription drugs.

From birth our bodies are meant to detoxify. The foods we ingest, the products we put on our skin and hair, household cleaners, environmental toxins and medications do not allow our bodies to detoxify properly. The human body is meant to be self-healing and self-sustaining.

Our lifestyle choices as to what we put into our body change it’s natural healing and detoxifying abilities. Many of our home cleaning products, personal grooming products and foods are ubiquitous to our lifestyles, however they may include harmful toxins and have endocrine disrupting effects. Many people don’t even think twice about them. That’s where we come in.

We help to educate you to look at the bigger picture, even things you may not have thought about as a contributing cause. You probably do not want to bury your head in the sand, but getting the proper information can lead you to take small manageable, sustainable action steps toward vibrant health.

We are both passionate about sharing our knowledge on various health related topics. It is our intent to have you make lasting lifestyle changes. This will improve your health and heal underlying issues. In Functional Medicine, drugs are not used as treatment. The protocol is through proper foods, nutritional supplementation and lifestyle.
